What seems like an eternity ago now, we sat down with our friend, Ant from Mo Head Y'all . Ant has been a staple in the Midwest craft beer scene for a while now and it was great to finally meet him. Shortly after we sat down with him we were all asked to stay a home and shelter in place due to COVID-19. It didn't seem like the right time to release an episode of us having a good time and enjoying being out and about drinking some pints. Doors are now starting to open up and you can now get a beer at your favorite brewery, or at Mashcraft in Greenwood, where we were when we recorded this episode. We discuss what got us in to craft beer, a side beer hustle, and how craft beer can help bring people together. What better way to celebrate this totally legitimate holiday than sampling beer at the new, Daredevil Hall at the Ironworks Hotel . If you've never been the Ironworks Hotel is a pretty swanky place off of 86th Street in the Keystone area. Today they're offering a 3 course beer paired dinner for all of your Valentine's Day Needs. Being the investigative, hard-hitting podcasters that we are - We ventured out last night to preview the grub and brews. Hi there loyal listeners! We're breaking our routine and not talking about blondes this go-around. 18th Street Brewery put out a refreshing beverage with hints of grapefruit, Rise of The Angels. So we start there and then veer directly off course and move on to a cider offering from Angry Orchard . After that, things just get weird. There's a lot of discussion of crabs, cheese, and heists. Maybe not one of our more informative episodes, but certainly one to sit down and enjoy with a beer or twelve. Cheers!

Celebrate dropping balls with your favorite Indiana beer podcast... who has inexplicably started a tradition of reviewing spirits on New Year's Eve. We begin with Hotel Tango's Victor Vodka. Hotel Tango is a veteran owned distillery located in Indianapolis. We then artfully transition to a distillery a bit further South in Bloomington Indiana; Cardinal Spirits . We sample their Tiki Rum. It is a floral rum and it serves as the tipping point for the shenanigans on this New Year's Eve. Argument ensues as we move even further South to Borden Indiana home of the Huber Winery and Starlight Distillery and discuss our collective thoughts regarding their Gin. We end back in Indianapolis with B Street Blues Bourbon Whiskey from a newer distillery in the are, West Fork Whiskey . Christmas! And this our fourth one of those. As always, we bring to you Anchor's Christmas Ale . This winter warmer has rich and creamy flavors that range from honey-nut to fruitcake plum. But lest we get ahead of ourselves, we kick things off with Evil Czech's , Stalin's Dark Side Imperial Stout. It's bourbon barrel aged with Woodford Reserve which we found to be thick, robust, dark and malty... like Adam's dates. We finish off the show by discussing Hallmark drinking games , offer a public service announcement, and explain Christmas traditions from both the Orient and Catalonia. While it's not normally recommended, this one is definitely an episode to listen to through the end. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a *creepy* GOODNIGHT!

Another day, another Shorty. We got to sit down with head brewer, Mike Hofferman of Grand Junction Brewing and talk, "shop." We find out what makes Grand Junction unique and how they are giving back to the Westfield community. Mike also let us in on some upcoming events and their canning of their (medal winning) Dark Road Porter for the first time. That is about as professional as things get for us, and special guest Charlie (aka Uncle Chuck, aka TheBeerReverend ). In honor of the abbreviated work week, we're releasing another episode in our, "shorty" series. This shorty takes us on location to Books and Brews in Zionsville. We heard from our secret industry sources that the Zionsville location has a revamped food menu and is now family friendly. Family friendly of course means that children are allowed so we brought Adam who promptly found the crayons and a place mat and proceeded to begin coloring. His night culminated with an embarrassing tic-tac-toe loss to intern, Steve. We squeeze beer, humor, and pointless banter in to a bite-sized 15 minutes of fun. Enjoy!

As is probably apparent, we're a few beers in at this point and we decide to add a few more. We sampled Space Haze from 450 North, 3 Floyds Floy Division India Pale Ale I, and Destihl's Blueberry Gose. In the first half of our conversation we talked future plans for 812 Farms and consumed a dry hopped IPA from 450 North Brewing Company, Fruity Nuggets. Oh, and be sure to head to the farm this Saturday with the ladies from Indy Girls Pint Out and tour the facilities, pick some hops, and enjoy some food and beer. Cheers! Thanks for tuning in to our wheat beer triple header! So, this one lingered in the archives longer than most. Was it simply because it was neglected on an external hard drive? Could it be that Pete simply couldn't deal with the pain of LeBron failing to bring another championship to "The 'Land?" We may never know. Our next beers come from Magic Hat Brewing Company (Special thanks to Ryan Swan) We partake in their split sixer and sample both the Cirus Boy and Zirkus Boy Hefe's. Our last episode featuring porters was such a hit, we thought we’d try it again. Devil’s Trumpet Brewing Company’s War Horn Porter starts the shows. Well, a large amount of shenanigans start the show, but the first beer we “review” is War Horn. Next, from Stone Brewing we have their 6 th Anniversary porter from their 20 th Anniversary re-issue collection. Which is confusing and hard to follow. But rest assured, we offer no additional clarity.  Special shout-out to Delaware Dan for his submission to our re-occurring segment, “HOLD MY BEER!” Trust me when I say, Dan's story is too good to miss. So, be sure to stay tuned until the end. Also, we'll have to check with our statistician, but I believe this show may be a new record for most ever censor "bleeps." 

You know what makes America great? Adam can say whatever he wants on the internet without fear of repercussion... unless it's being able to do things like find a job, be allowed near playgrounds, or look his mother(s) in the eye ever again. Celebrate the 4th of July with us as we talk about Porter's, celebrate the film career of Arnold Schwarzenegger (or at least one of his films), and inspire the US to take it's Zamboni fatality record back from Canada. To kick things off we have Burn 'Em Brewing's Duke Silver Jazzy Porter. A beer that was well received by the group, but Adam manages to embarrass the show in record time while describing the can. The 7 malted beer makes for a refreshing, full-bodied beverage for a warm 4th of July. We then move out of state and sample an offering from Evil Twin Brewing and partake of their Imperial Donut Bank. Happy Saturday everyone! On this day, of all days, we're featuring Stouts! Pete has selected beers from 18th Street and Prairie Artisan Ales. Two stouts with similar ingredients, but both with their own, bold flavors. From 18th Street we feature their Hunter Milk Stout and from Prairie Artisan Ales, their BOMB! Adam follows that up with a lively discussion about crabs. Crabs of the water, and crabs of the sea. If you're a swimmer this is information you can't afford to miss. Also, this is the last time we'll be able to make fun of (some of) Adam's adult deficiencies. Since this episode Adam has moved out of his girlfriend's parent's house and has purchased a new(er) vehicle. We're all proud... and we are taking bets on both when he will be evicted and when we think (if ever) Adam will change the oil in his new(er) vehicle.

It's nearly summer! That means chores, and more specifically grass mowing related chores. In that spirit, we feature two Cream Ales. Often light, crisp, and refreshing. We start things off with Sun King's Sunlight Cream Ale. An Indiana warm weather staple... And then I must digress. We let Adam buy the beer and he was given the assignment, "cream ale." While he technically followed directions, the second offering this show was/is Coney Island Brewing's Hard Orange Cream Ale. And then copious amounts of stupid happened. Much more than even we are accustomed to. Enjoy.

We'd recommend going to the brewery directly to acquire their fine fermented beverages to ensure awesomeness. Plus, it's usually a fun time with cool people and excellent grilled cheese sangwiches. And, with the recent franchising, there is sure to be one near you. We then talk Left Hand Brewing followed by shower beer and then things reach the usual level of random that you come to expect from our show. Enjoy!

Since we're all trapped by this Gee Dee Icepocalypse in Indiana, we thought we'd release another episode to help ease the pain of being stuck inside with family members all day until football comes on later tonight. No need to thank us, we're just doing what we can to make the world a better place. The beer style this bi-week is "Russian" Imperial Stouts. There is a startling amount of discussion regarding the history of the style. I know that's odd for us and you, but we thought we'd try something a little different. First up, we have from Shoreline Brewing out of Michigan City Indiana - Worker bee barrel-aged honey imperial stout. Followed then by Stillwater Artisanal Beers out of Maryland - Surround Imperial Oak Smoked Wheat Stout.

Put the kids to bed early, or plug in the headphones if you're in the office. We decided to let our hair down and talk about some more adult topics and perhaps a swear word or two worked its way in to this episode. This year we celebrate with Mathew Muncy and our friends at Broken Beaker Distillery. We talk holiday cocktails, and have some discussion about "popular" New Years Eve Traditions.
