Making Crime for Fun and Profit: The Polar Bear Story

Image
Yeah, it happened again. Adam discussed polar bears, and drive-by's. Rob and Adam are serenaded with some old school, Esham (shout out to Jake Omen ) and you also must tune in to hear if your sour cream contains the dreaded Zika virus, and the surprising cure. In beer related podcasting, we discuss Two Deep Brewing's Brickhouse Roasted Amber Ale. Is it really as "Might-ay Might-ay" as advertised? As you'd come to expect, we then transition smoothly in to a beer from Harpoon Brewery out of Boston. And when we say, "beer" when mean, "shandy." And when we say, "shandy" Rob dies a little bit on the inside. Is this the one to change his mind?

Local Business Feature Friday: The Sparkling Canvas

Image
Perhaps the greatest wine and canvas location in Hendricks County, The Sparkling Canvas  invited us to their opening night... in June. And how did we repay them? But not airing an episode about them until now. Apologies to the Sparkling Canvas. But, to make it up to you, we're giving you your own show and our wholehearted endorsement that your establishment is indeed the bestest and greatest wine and canvas spot in all of Hendricks County. Please visit The Sparkling Canvas  and sign up for a class. The wine selection is expansive and affordable, the owners are wonderful people, and the artists their are extremely personable and make the whole process fun and easy. You walk in to a warm greeting, grab a glass of wine, and sit down and create an original work of art. The Sparkling Canvas lets their artists create whatever work of art they would like, and then test the rest of us non-artistic types how to make one of our very own to take home and hang above the fireplace.

With Apologies to Carson's

Image
Greetings listeners! We may have hit a new low with this episode. We start things off with Demonik from Carson's Brewing out of Evansville, Indiana. The group believes there was something wrong with the six pack we obtained from our booze shop. However, much like with our Flat 12 beer, we consumed and rated this beverage. Rest assured though, Carson's Brewing will get another sampling and review and they still do stand out as one of the group's favorite Indiana breweries. That being said, the review was not great. We then partake of Shorts Bellaire Brown Ale. Adam's description of the bottle is about what you'd expect from him, as is the review in general. Speaking of Adam, he then discusses dog years, polar bear licensing, and seeks to apply for a job at the Smithsonian. If you want to learn how polar produce Coca-Cola, and how to get a polar bear license from the BMV, be sure to listen to this episode! Also, vote for Justin Jay McIntosh for best
